Hon behöver mig

18 nappflaskor ihopsatta som timglas, vattnet droppar eller rinner från den övre flaskan ner i den nedre. När en av de nedre flaskorna är full skruvar jag av nappen på den tomma flaskan, skruvar på den på den fulla och vänder på ”timglaset”. Mellan nappflaskorna står 18 väckarklockor med inspelningsfunktion. Deras alarmtider är satta med någon minuts mellanrum. När de alarmerar är det ljudet av ett skrikande spädbarn som hörs. Jag springer fram och trycker på den stora snoozeknappen på klockornas ovansida. De alarmerar igen efter fem minuter. Detta pågår under hela utställningstiden. I pauserna mellan skriken hörs ljudet av droppande och strilande vatten från nappflaskornas timglas.

18 feeding bottles were put together pair wise in the shape of an hour-glass, the water drips or flows from the upper bottle to the lower. When one of the lower bottles is full I take off the teat of the empty bottle, puts it onto the full one and turn the “hour-glass”. Between the feeding bottles 18 alarm clocks with recording function are standing. Their alarm times are scheduled with a few minutes interval. When they alarm, the sound of a yelling baby is heard. I run forward and push the big snooze button on the upper part of the alarm clocks. They alarm again after five minutes. This continues over the whole exhibition period. In the intervals between the cries the sound of dripping and sprinkling water from the hour glasses of the feeding bottles is heard.
